There seems to be more Stress on High School Students to do more. People expectations are higher, such as do a lot more work, and extra activities. In some cases peer pressure can be a problem.

The biggest problem for any serious, ambitious student is the extreme difficulty of finding a good high school education. I personally have looked at nearly twenty schools - all of them well reputed - and have found at least seventy percent of their curriculums to be vapid memorization.

Life, peer pressure were always here, sorry to disappoint you all. The biggest problem is not able to read and write, quality wise. Therefore, you will not be able to get a good job, yeeah that is true kids, so get going to school.

Gangs, guns, knives, fist-fights, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex and like someone else said peer pressure. The worries of those things don't give the kids much time to study, or do extra-curricular activities.

worrying about the competition they're gonna face when they'll apply for college and that universities are trying to slow admission by rejecting applicants and suggest that they go to a junior college first. it's maddening because all the AP and IB classes and SATs they took to get into a good university would go to waste by just going to a junior college.

I think that a large problem is family instability and poverty. A lot of "problem kids" come from homes where they don't get enough to eat or they have really bad parents (ie- drug addicts).

Mostly probaly peer presure and work It was easy for other students past that but now work is much harder!

Peer pressure! Anything from doing drugs, to drinking, to having sex, to not studying.
