help with guitar?

i think i am reading guitar tabs wrong..can someone help? i got the music to one of my favorite songs and it doesn't sound right at all..is there any technique i can use?? please help. it is an acoustic song

umm the tabs can be wrong...your guitar can possibly be out of tune..and remember that the first line on the tab is the thinnest string,
