How old is your anenome? And how old was your tang? Most likely, if your tang was young, and the anenome was older and had it's territory established, then that's why, is because the tang was what the anenome saw as "easy prey". But, if your tang was older, then it was most likely ill, and couldn't swim away fast enough.

Anenomies have a tendency to eat anything besides clownfish. Sorry about your tang, though.
