Last year I was diagnosed with endometriosis. My ovary was damaged so much by it that I had to have it surgerically removed last May. The doctor said the remaining ovary was slightly affected and put me on birth control for a year to allow for healing. Now, I'm about to get married in less than two weeks. And, want to start trying to conceive ASAP. I got off of Depo Provera in February and since then my period has normalized. Is there anyone who dealt with this and didn't have a hard time getting pregnant? Should I do anything in particular to increase my chances of getting pregnant right away?

First of all, if you've only been off the Depo for a few months, you may not be fertile. It can take up to a full year for fertility to return (and occasionally, it causes permanent infertility). Among other things, hormonal birth control can create a short luteal phase--a condition where you are ovulating too close to your next period for a fertilized egg to have a chance to reach your uterus before the period has begun.

What I *would* suggest is reading _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It wlil give you the greatest chance of getting pregnant as quickly as possible, and if it *doesn't* do it all by itself, it will also give you some useful information that can save you time, money, and discomfort if and when you *do* need fertility treatments.

Good luck!!

You really need to read "Endometriosis Bible & Violet Protocol" by Zoe Brown (also available in electronic format here: http://www.endometriosisbible.info ). It's about how to eradicate endometriosis disease forever. It worked for me, you will see results in only a matter of weeks. Good Luck!

While Endo is a leading cause of female infertility, it is entirely possible for a woman with the disease to successfully conceive. Your best bet is to obtain treatment at a specialty center like www.centerforendo.com, giving you the best chance not only to feel well but also to improve fertility. Surgical excision has the best rates for long term relief from the disease (there is no cure, but this can be a lot of help!) and also help conceive. If necessary, you can also undergo IVF protocols with a specialist such as those at www.ivf.com (for example). Have hope; there are a ton of us out here that have Endo and children. For support and further info, I recommend checking out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/erc. Good luck and remember you're not alone!

as longas your periods are regular you should make the most of each cycle. Use ovulation kits to really pinpoint your most fertile time of the month and should you see your periods become irregular or should you start experience endo pain...head on into your doctor asap so that the condition can be dealt with before more endo damage occurs
