This is a great question. Depends on what kind of record player you have. If you have a straight record player with no amplifier you need a thing called a "preamplifier" and connect that into the aux input of your computer. If you record player has an amplifier built in, then you need to take the aux output of the record player and connect it to the aux input of the computer. In either case you are going to need a cable that has a mini-stereo phone plug on one end and RCA connectors on the other end. When you go to do this you record the record with the recorder on the pc and save it as a music file(mp3) and then burn it to the CD. I assume you are doing records that are out of print.

u would first need to input the lps to your pc
this can be done using a stero to stero cable from your hifi or mixdesk to line in on your pc u would then need some recording software.
and then some buring software to convert it.
