i want a good balance of quality and size

WMA all the way. 192k WMA has the same quality as a 320k MP3 file, but the MP3 file is nearly twice the size.

uhh id say mp3 at 192 kbps or wma at 192 kbps wma sounds really good so does mp3 but wma sounds also very good at encoded 128 kbps

Windows Media format. .wma is the suffix to the file.

definitely wma, it sounds like mp3 unless you have a really awesome player and it takes up twice as less space
