Second cousins are considered "within the acceptable limits of consanguinity." That means it's OK if you are both willing. Whether your families will approve is another story.

In some states it is even legal for first cousins to marry (yes, I know you didn't say marry...), but you are taking much more genetic risk in that case.

i am with my second cousin but some states say it is wrong to be together.
If you too are happy that should be all that matters after all.
i am very happy with my cousin and we are common law married too.
