Look for her deposit book...

Swiss bank secrecy

Bank secrecy will not be lifted for private matters such as inheritance or divorce if you have kept your banking information strictly confidential. It is up to plaintiffs to prove that the account exists if they wish the judge to pursue the case. In this respect, the numbered account provides the maximum degree of confidentiality.

What the first answerer said is probably all you can do.

If I'm not mistaken, Swiss bank accounts are numbers - not names. The names are not given out - unless your stepmom is deceased, and left a will. You should check out Swiss Bank accounts on the web - you could also call a regular bank, and see what they know.

You can't find out unless she shares this information with you. Thats the WHOLE POINT of having a Swiss Bank Account.

The point of having a Swill Bank account is that they are anonymous. There is no legal way for a citizen to find out. A police agency, or a Government can get this info, but even they have to show just cause.

That is probably one of the best kept secrets in the world. The only way you can find out that information is to have an account number, password, and a secret code.

most Swiss accounts are numbered not named. if she doesn't tell you or if you cant find any paperwork forget it. the Swiss banks are very secretive. that's why people hide money there.

I doubt if those information will be given to you... Those are highly kept confidential. You need to have the Special Power of Attorney to ask the bank and verify it with them.

Forget about it! No way in hell you're going to find that out. The US gov't can't even get that info.

That information is not usually readily available to the public.
