Do U.S. marines in Iraq get so much time off that they can make rap albums and rape a 14 year old girl and kill 3 members of her family -- all while "defending" their country?

Love that post below about R & R being equated with my question raising the hideousness of a political scandal that somehow justifies "a few" soldiers committing the most atrocious act you can imagine given that THESE PEOPLE ARE BEING PAID BY TAX PAYERS TO LIBERATE IRAQ! LIBERATE THEM YOU PUPPETS!

When I was in Viet Nam I was officially on duty 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. It actually was closer to 16 hours and 6 day. Believe me with a schedule like that any kind of escape is welcome. I once worked for 19 days, with only cat naps and no shower. Now that was really fun, would have loved to had some sweet thing to rape after that. I love questions from clowns like you. Never been there, never done that, and an expert in all aspects of the situation. Remember, an "ex" is a has been, and a (s)pert is a drip under pressure. On second thought you may actually qualify as an expert.

well, the rape/murder thing is because that guy was messed up in the head - nothing to do with being in war, he was just a sick, messed up person.
The rap thing - same reason as why soldiers over there play football, or watch TV. Anything to get their minds off the horrors happening all around them. War is never pretty, and the soldiers deserve something - anything - that will give them even a moment of respite.
And supporting the troops isn't the same as supporting the war - attacking soldiers because you disagree with the war they're fighting in is simply ignorant.

That is awful harsh as far as the raping. There are always a few bad eggs, but you can't generalize like that.
As far as rap albums, do you work 24 hours a day? No, that would be illegal. Marines don't either. They have to do something in their time off. I don't see how making a rap album is a bad thing.

Have some respect for the US marines. Do u expect them to work 24/7 and not have any leisure time? I bet you have a lot of leisure time.
Moreover, it is not like the entire core of the US marines raped a 14 yr old girl. There are thousands of men and women in the marines. By labelling them all as rapists and murderers is purely....idiotic.

Who the heck are you to determine how Marines spend there Down time? Have you served? Just to set the record straight the incident your referring to was supposedly committed by members of the Army... You bring back a lot of bad memories from my time in combat when this country didn't give a rat's as@ whether we lived or died, and we knew it. Yeah, sit back and stick em in the back side, then cry send in the Marines when there's trouble some where.

First of all I assume that ou have never served in the military let alone in combat. Don't get me wrong... I'm not doubting your patriotism.... but any distraction from combat is a good thing. And classifying the acts of a few as the character of all is quite ignorant. Thats called stereotyping.
Servicemembers do get time off so they don't get overstressed and do things that may bring discredit upon the uniformed services.

They are not on duty 24-7, They do have some free time. As far as the other stuff, if they did it, it was wrong, but i wasn't there. you should have just said,"I don't like the fact that the marines are in Iraq" . and why do you have time to ask anti-us questions instead of working and supporting yourself, or making more money?.

They make rap albulms because they really have nothing to do. Bush has them there just to say hes doing something. It is nobody else's fault but those stupid soldiers that they raped, burned, and killed a 14 year old girl.. Yes being over there can make you crazy but crazy enought to do that. I think they all need to come home instead of "fighting" this useless war.

I'm guessing that you've never served in the military. Nothing else could explain the ignorance embodied in your question, no offense.
Let's say that you are an accountant who likes to play guitar in your free time.
How would you like it if I asked you, "Why are you playing guitar when you are supposed to be preparing people's taxes?"
I guess that in your mind, everybody is entitled to a little R&R now and then -- except for US military personnel, who you seem to think should be on duty 24 hours a day.
