What is your vision for a better future? What would you do to make our world more just and fair?

If you could change just one thing, big or small, what would it be? What would people do differently or think differently? What new thing would you create? What would you get rid of? If you could wave a magic wand and make one change, to make the biggest difference for our future, what change would you make?

With this one change we could drastically reduce wars. With one change we could become united. By changing the way people think about one thing, universal harmony would increase. The world would not be perfect by far...BUT...to only change one thing and have it impact the entire world...this one thing would be all we need.
My vision of a better future may never happen, but to make the world more just and fair as you ask by changing just one thing...what a dream indeed...but if this one change could happen...it would be a dream come true. This one change could effect all people of the earth, all religions, all ages and help to unite us. The answer: Ending racism. Ethnic, Religious, Financial, Nationality. If mankind could just see each other for what we are (Mankind) it would be a great change indeed.

1) pay every worker enough to afford: good home, good food, health care, own transportation, own computer, own education, own child needs, and some for rainy day and/or some relaxation.
2) make every business respectful of world. (i.e., business is not destructive, and it is making reasonable use of resources - meaning it uses resources in such a way that it is able to continue to go on that way without using up or destroying what's there.)

additional suggestions:
a) democracy=referendums become legal and widespread (=people can vote on laws)
b) elections are based on anonymous ideas. instead of voting for people, we vote for published ideas, proposals, laws, etc.
