What opinion would that be? that you shouldn't Kill, steal, Lie, commit adultry, sleep around raising your chances of getting an STD. Or that you should love thy neighbor as thyself? Yeah... Christians are such baaaad people for wanting to live a life where you treat others with respect and don't do things that harm your life or others.

You didn't give many details here. You kinda lumped everyone that calls themselves a Christian into one group. Remember, just because somebody SAYS they are a Christian doesn't mean they are.

And for the lady that had the FIRST answer... have you READ the constitution? There's stuff in there about freedom of speech... "Keep quiet" like it's a secret society. According to Christianity that's the LAST Thing we are supposed to do. We should tell the world about Jesus! People tend to forget that this COUNTRY was FOUNDED on Christian beliefs!

And don't even get me started on the seperation of church and state... to that .. again... I say... read the constitution. That was to say that the STATE cannot make laws that govern a religion. IE. The government can't tell you to sacrafice your cat and worship Bill Clinton. As for the Church having an effect on government... the people of the church ARE the church. To refuse them a right to speak in government is to refuse their rights as a citizen.

I get psycho when it comes to my kids..not that christianity is such a bad thing, but those who are telling an innocent child that she will die soulless? That is most DEFINATELY not very 'christianlike behavior.. I would tell them GO back and read your own bible, fool...It even says something about being childlike.. this doesn't mean fear anyone..it means be happy and keep your innocence..They invaded that right..her innocence in believing that she was a good girl..and that's all she should worry about...Let her know that there are very weird people in this world....I wonder what the statistics are on people who sin in MAJOR ways and those who force these beliefs on people..I bet they are trying to make up for some kind of BIG thing they've done, anyway..Ive heard of WAY too many child molestors who became preachers...I mean no offense to anyone who has geniuine love...but , seriously.

I'm a Christian and i don't force my beliefs on other people, nor do most other Christians, but there are those who get into your face with fire and bremstone. This is not always the best approach, (sometimes it is) And in regard to the first answer, we are not legally required to shut up. There is a line where it becomes harassment. But until then we can shout it out. I'm sorry that someone that shares my faith approached you the wrong way, but know that the people who do things that way are very few.

No one should be forcing anything on you or for that matter any one else. Loving and believing in God, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is a choice. There are many choices to make in life and this just happened to be one of them. I would never push God on anyone. I love to talk about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit because that is my belief. I don't believe in anyone being an atheist. The say they are atheist here on God's great earth but when they go to hell, that is when they become a believer. But then it is to late. Back to the beginning, no one should push Christianity on anyone young or old. Remember believing in the Trinity is a choice. Everyone will always have their own opinion about things and they will all differ but NEVER should anything be forced on anyone.
Thank you for your quesion and you have a geat day.

Not all Christians are like that. It's unfortunate that there are people like that of any religion or belief system...it's like telemarketing their religion...I am Christian and don't like when anyone does that. The truth has a way of settling confrontation when people are talking about their beliefs, but there are many different beliefs out there so we have to be respectful. If I have the opportunity to talk about it I do. But I don't push people.

why do atheist think it's OK to force their opinions on on Christians and their children telling them that what they believe is wrong or why do non Christians think it is OK to use offensive language or hand gestures around Christians and their children or any child for that matter because it's a free country and their is this thing called freedom of speech I'm sure that is what you would say if I asked you not to use certain language around myself or my 2 year old

XXXXXXXXXXXX I hate that also, especially when they come to your door or stop you in the middle of the street going to your car to give you a pamplet. This one woman caught me out on my porch swing a few weeks ago. Just to be nice I told her I'd think about visiting her church. Would you believe on Saturday she came by to make sure I was going and to give me directions. When I told her I wasn't interested she almost had a baby. I agree with you and wish I had an answer. Because there are some fanatics who believe only in their Flying Spagetti Monster, conveniently ignoring the Church's position on evolution.
Your child is in a Bible Belt public school isn't she?

You'll need to be more specific - are we talking about those obnoxious people who disturb your lunch with the have you been born again speech or someone who happened to mention that they're christian? I believe some of the christian relgions teach that their members have to save heathens. I'm guessing you aren't christian and they just felt like they had to save you because you're going to hell. Sickening isn't it, I guess over half the world is going to hell.

Because they are well-intended but utterly misguided. Jesus Christ preached and taught how to live a good, wholesome life, but he never went around beating anyone over the head with his moral standards--in fact, he was strongly against religious leaders of his time who DID enforce religious-based laws of living.
