I have written many poems and my teacher says that i sould send one in to a publisher. I would like to try it but it seems to good to be true, and I don't think that it is good enough. What do you think, should I try it?

DO you think that i should send in just my best? Or should I send more? And how much more?

By all means, send in your work. There's a catalog you might want to look at first, though. It's called simply, "Writer's Market," and you library should have a copy. In it, you'll find a huge list of publishers, and a brief summery of what kind of material they each deal with. It will help narrow your choices to people who will be interested in poetry. Pick out a bunch of them, and send each one a copy of your stuff.

Of course you should send it in. And you should never be afraid of a rejection. Just go for it. You gotta cast your fate to the wind every once in awhile! Just keep writing!

see one must face life with a bold face .I think yu should send it for publishing. If you win there can be no greater achievement but if you lose it would still be an enriching and learning experience and yu will gain from your experience.either way you will be a winner

Sure. What do you have to lose? If they accept that's great, and if they reject, you can always try again.

It's better to try than to sit in the limbo of not knowing what will happen.
