I'm relieved that Ben is doing ok. But I'm worried whether it is too early to start training for him?

Is he going to play this fall?
If yes, any idea when?

Thanks!

He's fine, they are working on a variety of helmets for him to wear and find out which one will work the best for him.

He has stopped riding the bike until who knows when and will wear a helmet from now on (forgot it that day)...so I don't think we have to worry too much. Problem for him is riding a bike in the city of Pittsburgh is not safe (don't care who you are), you're better to go out into the suburbs and ride where there's not so much traffic and crazy streets.

The real test will be the first time he gets hit to see if he gets rattled or not. The concussion he suffered from the accident could cause more to happen when he's hit on the playing field (just a fact), but hopefully he's tough enough that it won't be a problem. Since nothing got hurt in his shoulder/arm/legs, I think he'll be fine, but I know he'll always be a little bit leary about shots to the head (which certain players on certain teams are known for going after him).

Big Ben should be ready to go for the first game of the season.

And Ben - give up riding the bike until you retire from the NFL - just like Terry Bradshaw told you to do.

Well, they say he's gonna be able to play. I, too, have a hard time of believing that. I know if I took a car to the face I wouldn't be in any shape to do anything in only a few months. But, I guess it helps that he's a professional athlete and in good shape, so that should help him heal up quicker. GO STEELERS!

Yes he is doing good and will start the season for the Steelers, though I don't see them doing much cause they are going Miss all the 3 down and 4th down conversions of the BUS!!!

He looks good but we won't know until he gets hit real hard on the field then we will see if he is okay.
