It must be Firefly also know as Lightning Bugs...

They are known as lightening bug, or fireflies, they are actuall neither bugs, or flies, they are beetles (Family: Lampyridae).
The adults of these beetles produce this light by mixing various chemicals in their abdomens. the larvae of soem species can also produce light. These light messages are meant to attract members of the opposite sex. When kept in a jar, they are good at lighting up small areas. They are not dangerous and are actually pretty fun to catch, but even cooler to watch.

lightning bug, glow bug, firefly...I've heard many different names for them. I don't know if they really have a specific one.
