I think it isn't about "true" love or soulmate. It's more about making "it", and by that I mean people change over a period of time, things happen or should I say we each do things to effect the relationship and "true" love is developed by how we handle or mis handle those obsticles. My parents have been together for over 33 years, my nana "did" the church for over 50, they each say they love it but give and take give and take

I am! I first met my husband when I was 12 and he was 15. His family moved 900 miles away but we kept in touch. We both married other people and divorced. Then in 1992, while going through my divorce, we got back in touch. We married in 1995 and are doing great. I can't imagine my life without him.
