President Bush just Vetoed A Bill That would have allowed Stem Cell Research for Donated Stem Cells That were set for Destruction and could have been used to save Millions of lives. Folks with Diabetes or Parkinson's or cancer or Spinal problems or Alzheimer's were given a brief chance at a normal life and Bush just threw that and there chance at normal lives away.
I personally have been waiting 25 years for a cure for Juvenile Onset Diabetes Type one. Essentially Bush just signed my Death warrant and others like me. What a Guy. Only a year left and maybe someone with a brain and a conscience will get elected and make a difference.

Soldiers in the U.S. volunteer for their jobs, no one forces them. Terrorists sign their own death warrants when they kill innocent people. Unborn babys have no say about whether they're killed or not, or about what happens to their bodies after they're killed. Where is the FREEDOM OF CHOICE for the lives that embryonic stem cell research will most profoundly effect?

Also, so far, the embryonic stem cell research that has taken place all over the world has yeilded no evidence that this procedure is a way to a cure for anything. Try going with facts and real science rather that you're political bias. Maybe you'll
learn something.

And who do you think you are that babys should die so you can live? Where's your consience?

He didn't outlaw or cut government sponsored Stem Cell Research. The Bill he Veto'd was to expand financing. The public sector is already spending 3x the amount the government is on it - and you know what:

In >10 years - no cures have been found!

Over 400 billion a year goes toward research for over 10 years now and there is Nothing to show for it! Why toss even more tax payer dollars into it?

This maybe harsh to except, yet hope you grasp the concept of our society.

The Stem Cell research is a good thing, yet keep in mind that the heavy hitters in this game want us to rally toward the killing of innocent lives.

It has been prov en that 'Adult' stem cell are more suitable for today technology and medical uses. You! as an individual must read between the lines.

Why do some in government support the use of condoms by minors in schools, A child should have right to be a life into this world. Why are 14 years girls not required to have their parents acknowledgment about abortion, and why would as a taxpayer would want to pay for it, blindly? Why is it not promoted in wealthy communities? Like Beverly Hills and The Hampton's?

Let me tell you something. They want us to produce the 'cells' and they harvest them (like in some sci-fi movie), through the acts of abortion, single fathers who are being promoted not to raise a family and take care of their babies, yet to produce many as possible.

This does not even compare to what Chancellor Adolf Hitler did. At least you could see the lasting resolves of his accomplishments.

What is the ratio of aborted babies by parents according to ethnic background in your state. Then find out the ratio of stem cells by the same ethnic groups.

Who is higher? And why?

You are a disgrace. Nothing was banned, nothing is disallowed. This research is already happening. This bill was to increase federal funding for stem cell research by creating and then destroying embryos. George Bush is the FIRST PRESIDENT EVER to fund stem cell research.

This debate is not about banning anything, it is about using tax dollars to fund research that creates and subsequently destroys human embryos.

You spew partisan rhetoric without any justification, and you embarrass yourself when you do so.

Gee, you Bush Bashers never stop.

I have Diabetes, and this does not bother me a bit. I think you are over reacting just a bit "signing a death warrent" come on give me a break.

Besides they have not proven that embryo stem cells are going to cure anything, and adult stem cell seem to be just as good as the embryo stem cells.

I agree with "marieandlucaspape". Using cells from a baby that has been aborted is wrong. Or even fertilizing an egg in a lab to have it grow where it can be used is wrong. Think of all of the hunderds of lives that will be lost that way. It may not be fair that people develop these disease that cause the need for this, but it also isn't fair to the fetus to be killed for use in a study.

Stem cell research has not been hijacked, Bush hater, only fetal cell research which in lab animals developes tumors. This study is not denied , its such a failure that nobody wants to fund it any furter, because thy no longer have the money to fund this madness the want the taxpayers to fund this evil. Thank you George Bush for GODS judgement will come on us soon enough, thank you for the stay. You liberals want to put us on the fast track.

Yada yada yada. I support Bush on this one. Bush did not sign any death warrants, God did. God gives life and takes it away as he pleases, not Bush.

Find another way of curing Juvenile diabetes. Don't use human tissue. Its an ethical matter, something libs like you have little of.

Those embryo are going to be thrown away anyway!!! If ur so morally conscient about "life" then stop the genocide, the war and isreal. Bush is a daft lame duck!!!
p.s: when God's judgment comes (for u believers), he'll be the first one to be judged for his most incredible crime against humanity aka war, racism and spreading of hatred.
