He sleeps when he can which would be during the day, but he also has to make his appearances as Bruce Wayne and keep his hand in running his company. The guy above is wrong about Batman being Bruce Wayne's hobby, it's Bruce Wayne that's Batman's hobby!

He sleeps when he has time, sometimes he survives on 2 hours sleep at a time. There have been occassions when he's gone 4 - 5 days without sleep. Through training before he became batman he learned how to conserve his energy, meaning he can sleep less than the average man. He doesnt think of it as day or night - just when he needs to!

I don't know when he sleeps, but during the day he is Bruce Wayne.
Remember, Batman is just Bruce Wayne hobby. Unlike Superman whose hobby is Clarke Kent.

He sleeps after he's done patroling the night, but he has to keep up his social status as bruce wayne because a non existant social life would raise the question, what exactly does bruce wayne do with his time and his money.

He sleeps in the day but Bruce Wayne sleeps at night. Now who is that running aroung in his costume at night and attending all those ribbon cutting ceremonies during the day?

I'm sure he takes naps if hes feeling the need. But he was not bitten by a Bat or part Bat or anything of that nature. Hes a regular guy who has allot of money to do anything and everything he needs, with a huge chip on his shoulder about the guys that killed his parents.

huh... well, he IS bruce wayne, so... yeah... i suppose he stays cooped up inside most of the day (and makes random publicity appearances) and snoozes until something happens. then, quick! to the batcave! or whatever...
