They hold up signs saying "thank god for ied's" and "thank god for 9/11". and others like "soldiers are fag$ and are going to hell". It personally makes me sick and makes me insanely furious....just wanting to hear others opinions.

I agree with you completely. Why people say stuff like "soldiers are ***$ and are going to hell." i will never know. You have to wounder if they have even read the word of God and/ or even understand what this conflict is all about. "OIL" you say, OK go ask any leader on the other side what this conflict is about and you will get the truth. This conflict is about religion and the elimination of God's people. God tells us to protect his people and is land. War and fighting are not bad. How many conflicts are there in the word of God. So people that say soldiers are going to hell, might want to do a self evaluation first.

Godhatesfags.com (not good)

While homosexuality is not condoned in the bible, how can a christian hate fags but love God? John 13:35 say "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

And where did this happen???

Lets make it easy for you How about some key words and we will let Google find where and when this happened.

Or is this a typical big fat lie being told to inflame Red hate.

If so, I don't mind the Supreme Court upheld lying as a form of free speech.

Hey did you know that all Redpublicans protest when a New business opens in America. Then they report all kinds of false violations to Government agencies to get the business shut down.

Every time a US business fails Redpublicans make more money on Wall Street.

I didn't think this was a "church" group but rather a group of different family members that were against the war. Either way, they are most certainly in the WRONG. The soldiers that they are ridiculing are the very ones that are enabling them to stand on the sidewalks and share their opinion. I sure it is not a church affiliated group. What a shame if it is......

They're a bunch of nuts. I heard a reporter from MSNBC tried to interview the woman leading the group. The reporter quoted a passage from the Bible and asked the woman to comment, which she did, by calling the reporter a bimbo. I suppose that she used to same logic she used when she figured out God kills soldiers because America tolerates homosexuality (which is what she and her group allege!) When they were in my area, the local Veterans Association formed a human wall around the funeral the group was attempting to protest, keeping their disgusting noise and message away from the family.

I am surprised that they cannot be prosecuted under some "hate crime" statute.

They have the right to free speech, no matter how repugnant, but their rights should not infringe on the privacy rights of a family burying a loved one. They should be kept a far enough distance away so as not to disrupt the ceremony.

Its a real group, tho I can't remember the name. Bush just signed a law against them being able to protest at military funerals.

Disgusting. If I were attending a funeral for a family member who was a fallen soldier and these clowns showed up, you can bet I'd get to at least one of them. The time in jail would be well worth it! I'm so tired of people acting like idiots and using religion as an excuse.

It's funny, really. They are picketing the funerals of soldiers who died and supported a cause which gives them a right to free speech. Don't they get it? Without those "soldiers who are going to hell", they wouldn't be able to picket their funerals. We have had a few funerals here in my home city, and they picketed them. I wish their bus had accidently gone off a cliff. My opinion, anyway. Then, it would have been in God's hands wether they survived the crash or not.

at first, i could want to remark on some thing i'm seeing right here. The participants of the Westboro Baptist Church ARE actual Christians. They profess perception in Jesus Christ and the Christian God, subsequently they are actual Christians. Sorry, yet you won't be able to apply that "No authentic Scotsman" stuff to disassociate human beings out of your faith because of the fact they are doing despicable issues. i will genuinely comprehend no longer wanting to be linked with them, so I do sympathize. yet nonetheless, the No authentic Scotsman line of reasoning only does not artwork. Now, for the somewhat question, those everyone seems to be the Westboro Baptist Church, and that they suspect that God is punishing u.s. with conflict and loss of life for tolerating homosexuality.

I do not understand the logic behind this. I heard about this on the radio. These people call themselves Christians? I think that is just about un American as you can get. Right or wrong, they died serving out country and these soldiers and their families deserve the highest respect and honor we can give them.

These activists, petitioners, whatever they call themselves, would be shot in another country for this type of action.

I think it shows just how disrespectful they are. How they like it if the parents of the fallen soldiers went to there child funeral and held up signs just as distasteful. They would not like it. It goes above and beyond proving a point to someone who I might add is not there.
