If you live near a big city, there will be lots of community theatres you can audition for. I would recommend asking around and seeing what acting schools or classes for kids your age are available. I would be careful...a lot of theatre is a rough place, and people can be very mean. But if you get in with the right group in a learning environment, it can be fun and rewarding! Acting will help you to learn things about yourself, and how to express yourself better.

Taking some dance classes would be a good idea also. Ballet helps you move onstage, even if you aren't a "dancer" per say. It is always a good thing to do, if you haven't started already. If you like dance, then take jazz and tap, too.

Have fun! Performing is a blast! I wish you the best!

You should begin taking acting lessons/classes where you live. See if there are any local productions going on where you live that you can audition for. You want to start off small, get experience locally and such first.
Ideally, you want to live somewhere where there is professional theatre - NYC or LA, but there are regional theatres to work at in just about every state in the US.
But as I said, start out with classes and lessons first. It's a tough business to be in, but you can do it with determination.

as an aspiring actor(actress) what helps me is when your acting try to put yourself in your characters place. and do research on your characters issue.
