Besides, it makes the possibility of penis cancer much lower. I saw once a 20 years old man had half of his penis cut because of cancer

The possibility that circumcision reduces HIV transmission remains the subject of ongoing research and debate in the medical community. While the most recent data indicates that circumcision is correlated with reduced risks of HIV transfer, there are fears that some may mistakenly believe they will be protected against HIV through circumcision and see circumcision as a safe alternative to other forms of protection, such as condoms.

If circumcision does protect against HIV transmission, the mechanism by which it does so is unclear. One possibility relates to Langerhans cells, a part of the human immune system. It is suggested that Langerhans cells in the foreskin may provide an entry point for viral infection. Three studies identified high concentrations of Langerhans and other HIV target cells in the human prepuce.

I'd say it's not a significant enough reason to be circumsised.

Three points
1. The circumcision issue is far from resolved:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=AbstractPlus&list_uids=16412681&query_hl=4&itool=pubmed_docsum

It's too early to make a definitive judgement.

2. Genital mutilation
I consider circumcision a genital mutilation. A painful procedure that has serious consequences.
Keeping your foreskin has many advantages:

Many men try to reverse the procedure.

3. Even if circumcision is shown to have some protection it will not be 100% effective or even close to that. The best protection from contracting HIV is through barrier protection... by using a condom. People who use them remain HIV negative.

So.... No way hosesay

This research is another of these funded by a group with the sole aim of proving the preconception they started with. the group has at its heart a religious ideal of all male circumcision.

This research is flawed and another study has found that if one washes after sex (and if you don't why not) the opposite is actually true as the foreskin has a preventative effect on inflammation the cause of HIV transmission.

Never believe a single piece of research the decision has to me made from a consensus of opinion from differing viewpoints..

Though I'm circumcised, I'd go for using condoms. Better yet is to avoid high-risk sex. (If you don't know what high-risk sex is, then research it.)

There are studies in South Africa that suggest that circumcision does help but only on a level of public health policy. On a personal policy level, the measures above are far more effective.

Yes, circumcision cuts the risk of HIV infection, but the medical world cannot agree(or prove) how or why. Look at two maps of Africa, one showing HIV infection and the other showing percentage of male circumcision. QED.

Can't truthfully answer this 'cause I don't have a weenie, but as far as having an opinion...

It might possibly help, but the truth of the matter is that guys need to use the head on their shoulder, not just the one below, and be more careful of what they do and who they scr*w.

There is no definitive answer to this issue...research can argue it either way...

It's not true. This is the same garbage that has been going around for years. There is no proof that being circumcised lowers STD risks. You should educate yourself about the daily mutilation being done to male babies.
