If you aren't getting the results you want, wait for a hot night, then hold a piece of ice in your mouth and run up and down their body with the cold water drip on hot skin along with your tongue- works every time.

My sister's dog, a golden retriever, holds the prize...don't even compete anymore.
That dog has no room for a brain, because there's a giant tongue rolled up in that space.
They (my sis and her family) warn folks who come over, "Beware. Dog can't hold its licker." =)
