Kava Kava, Thyme, Taurine and Tyrosine will help to stabilize the mood swings. The vitamin B-group
is always important when nerves are concerned.
Lithium is a presciption drug but it also occurs naturally in Thyme, Anasazi Bean, Grapefruit,
Orange, Lettuce, and Cabbage.
St. John's wort, recommended for regular Depression, might not work in this case. But it is always worth a try.

First of all vitamins do not cure anything, ever. They are a necessary component of the body and if one is lacking it needs to be added but they still won't cure a thing. Very effective medications are available for bipolar disorder and should be monitored carefully. Out of control bipolar disorder has resulted in serious consequences and that person can become violent. Take the meds, less danger there than not being treated.

Dear Ed master,
Please ask your doctor before you discontinue or alter your medications. As far as I know since bipolar disorder is caused by a chemical imbalance, it just makes sense to take the lithium so you can lead a normal life. I grew up with a bipolar father and when I found out this information and he went for treatment he has been leading a normal life for almost 25 years now. Just remember to follow up with your blood tests and doctor's appointments I wish you all the best Good luck and God Bless you

Go to the great plains laboratories website and call the 800 number. They will send you information and/or tell you about doctors in your area that work with them. My cousin's daughter is autistic, and they have done wonders with her. It is amazing. There are many food allergies that can cause autism, depression, schizophrenia, etc. It's worth a try, and doesn't cost anything unless you choose to get tests done or visit a doctor. The information packet is free. Good luck!

Yes, but they are not FDA approved. Please do not self medicate. Get an eval from a licensed Psychiatrist. You can get this under control. It is dangerous to use herbs.
