how about.... if you'd have taught me english better I may not have had to go to yahoo answers to find out what to write in your card lol

Start by saying thank you, but the best praise you can give a teacher is to tell them that they have encouraged your interest in the subjects that they teach. So say that, or that she made the class enjoyable and interesting.
An interest in learning stays with you for the rest of your life, and only the best teachers can get that response from their pupils.

I did that when i left school, just tell her your gunna miss her, that you always enjoyed her class(if you did of course!) ,that she was a great teacher and thank her for everything she did for you or your class!

you could put:
dear miss,
thank you for teaching me. it was great fun having you at this school. you will be missed by lots of kids at this school. sorry your leaving, enjoying teaching some were else and i hope you don't forget about us.

try to tell her one personal thing such as i will always remember a poem she read or a book you have enjoyed reading because she suggested it then add any of the best bits of advise from the answers
