Not only are police officers still using guns, but now they are putting 50,000 volts of electricity through people with tasers. Tasers are being used on citizens when guns would have never been used on people. Drunk people are getting tazed, senior citizens, and even children. Mostly for minor reasons. Tasers shoudl be banned. Here is a videoclip of a woman being tasered during a traffic stop.

Well, I have never been tasered or pepper sprayed, never been handcuffed, and never been arrested... why? because I don't give them any reason to treat me that way! I don't break laws which require their intervention!
I am a citizen who is upset at people like you who don't take any personal responsibility for their own actions!

They use tasers because people sue them for using guns. If a teenager steals a car, gets chased by police, pulls out a gun & shoots at them...if the cops shoot back (which they are supposed to) and the teenager gets shot, then the family sues the police dept., which is ridiculous.
That's why tasers are used.
I'm not saying that they are never used inappropriately but, I'd rather have a taser used than a gun.
Our judicial system is a lot easier on people than it should be.

You answered part of your own question. Tasers are used when lethal force is not warrented. Would you have our police unarmed, so they cannot defend themselves, against dangerous felons, our more closely to home, to defend you and your loved ones? Do you believe that if the liberals managed to take away our constitutional rights crime would disappear and we'd all sit around singing folk songs with Joan Baez. If you want to see what gun control does, look at the crime stats of liberal European countries. Get the facts and read the constitution.
Besides if the cops bust a few heads every now and again, maybe then we'll have less crime in the streets.

There are allways bad examples of any situtation the cops could use to subdue dangerous or uncooporative people. The numbers of "innocent" people getting tazered is very very low and the officers involved are put up for review and diciplined.
98% of the people being tazered in the US deserve it 100% of the time. It protects the officers from getting hurt from trying to take down a violent suspect or drug user. Cases like the video shown are few and far between.

when a police officer pulls you over regardless of why, you have to do everything he says, get out the car get off the phone etc. if you dont then you are considered resisting. id have tased her too just becasue she wasnt following what the officer ordered. you can always go to court to contest a ticket leter. people are so stupid when it comes to cops
