Back in May 2006 I started using birth control (Loestrin 24FE) But in June my husband and I decided that we would like to have another child (since our baby is six now). So we are trying.... I had a peroid from June 14-18. Now it is July 29th and no peroid. I am ALWAYS 28 days... I have taken birth control before and still stayed on the same pattern 28 days. I have taken four pregnant test and all state negative. I have been having peroid cramps for almost 2 weeks now, sore breast, tired, and very ill (bitchy). Can anyone give me advice as what I should do?? I have already called the Dr. and she would like for me to come in tomorrow but I really don't want to spend $40 just to find out that I am not. Has anyone else had this happen to them? When should I take another test? Any advice would be helpful... Thanks

Also a little note... Went to the Dr. early June to talk about getting pregnant. Got on vitamins, had a pap smear (which everything was normal) and Dr. stated that it was O.K. to go ahead and try to have a baby. Of course I want everything VERY healthy..

I would say you have taken 4 tests and had a negative result but no period, so the doctor is probably your best option. That way if there is something wrong, he/she will be able to diagnose you. Good luck!

You really need to go to the doctor. I understand that you don't want to spend the money, but there could be something else going on. Plus, if you are trying to conceive, you should get prenatal vitamins and get checked out to make sure everything is okay anyway. You also want to rule out an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy.
Also, just because the home pregnancy test was negative, that doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. A doctor's test can be much more reliable.
Best of luck to you.

If you don't want to spend the forty dollars than cancel your appointment or postpone it and wait a couple more days to retest. Maybe you tested to early. Then Again if your cramping you may want to make sure it's not a tubal pregnancy which could be dangerous if you wait too long! Good Luck!

I would say get the e.p.t. certainty test...the one with the digital read-out that says either "pregnant" or "not pregnant"....the tests that have the two lines can sometimes be deceptive!!! Also, when you go to your doctor tomorrow I would ask for an ultrasound to confirm whether you are or not. Some women continue to get negative tests for months without a period, and it is not until they are given an ultrasound that they FINALLY get a YES!! =) Good Luck!

well I had the same symptoms when i got pregnat, but I didn't worry, because my periods were not that regular i took pregnancy test when i started to feel nausius, which happens around nine weeeks. some pregnancy tests don't work if it's too early.

well first off its july 19th not the 29th. with starting then stopping the pill so close together you may have thrown your whole cycle off. give your body a month or two to adjust and then try
