when going slow, eg parking, left front wheel sounds like someone is playing a triangle. strange thing is the sound isnt made at the same point in the revolution. any ideas???? thanks

has alloys, brake pads are fine - replaced 4 months ago, and its a vw golf, not a ford.
any other ideas?

You may have a stone caught inside your hubcap.

Do you have a wheel cover or a hub cap? Try removing them and see if the sound is still there. I assume that you don;t have drivability problems at higher speeds.

brake pads are low and the sensor is rubbing against your warped rotors
