Fun occupations to play pretend with, but just how in hell can a Non-Native American kid grow up to become an “Indian”?!?

um, if their ancestors are from India they will grow up to be Indians....

or they can grow up to run a casino or sell cheap cigarettes

LOL, that was funny. They play but they don't and can't grow up to be one. Does anyone really want their kids to grow up to be a clown? Besides, Indians don't have small battles with Europeans anymore. Maybe parents should start being a little more open with their kids and start teaching them some real history.

It is just pretend. Kids are kids and should be allowed to use their imaginations, whenever possible as long as the parents are teaching the kids correctly.

When I was a kid, we used to pretend to be Nazi's and Jap's, too. It's a game. Sort of like an RPG, without strict rules. We used to have pretend weddings, too.

I played cowboys and indians when I was a kid. I never thought I'd BE an indian (duh) it was just fun to pretend.
