Sorry to say that the soldiers are just an excuse for destruction and America's need to get to Iran. You see we have a foothold in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. Iran now stands alone against our total domination and guarantee of oil in the region. America can not and will not stand up to Iran and therefore if the last proxy Iranian army (Hezbullah) is destroyed, we can at least guarantee a constant flow of oil. America doesn't worry about the people of Israel. We did not care when the Jews were being exterminated in 1939-1945 and nor do we care now. WE JUST NEED OIL. The truth is simple really.

It's not fear. You've jumped to a conclusion based on your limited understanding of the US. Typical of many Islamic fundamentalists, which is then propogated by ignorance.

The real answer is a bit more complex. First of all, the existence of the Israeli state is in the religious interests of many of the Christians in this country.

Second,and more importantly, it's a matter of aliances. Israel is a free society, a democracy that the West has groomed for quite some time. We're not likely to just abandon that effort given the amount of energy we've put into it. On the other side of the coin, the Arab world has produced terrorists that attack us and are costing us millions. Yes, we want to be friends with the Arab world as well, but you guys are making it very hard to do so (not to mention some of the rotten things we've done to you).

There's no fear involved at all my freind. It's just politics.

Hezbollah has been firing rockets across the Israel border every week for years and the Lebaneze government cannot or will not stop them. Then Hezbollah crossed the border, killed 8 Israeli soldiers and kidnapped two others.

Since Hezbollah and Lebanon made the choice to attack Israel, Israel has the right to defend its Northern border.

No one here in the USA feels sorry for Arab terrorists who launch rockets at innocent civilians.

The reason that people are in jail in Israel is that they are aiding and abetting terrorists that have come into Israel to blown up civilians. If you try that here in the US, you will also end up in jail.

Civilian casualties would not be happening in Lebanon if Hezbollah was not shooting missiles from behind human shields. The reason that we will not say no to Israel is that Hezbollah must be taken out before we can deal with Iran.

We don't fear Israel. We believe in Israel's right to exist and defend itself from repeated attacks from Muslims.

Hezbollah is nothing but an ultra-violent terrorist organization determined to commit genocide on the Jews, and they are heavily armed and financed by Syria and Iran. The people of Lebanon knowingly housed and supported Hezbollah, so they made the choice to share in Hezbollah's fate.

If Muslims/Arabs don't want 10,000 people in jail, then stop attacking Israel. As long as you keep attacking Israel, no sane person is going to feel sorry for you when Israel attacks back. No one in the U.S. is afraid of Israel. As far as I can tell, every time there is a sudden period of peace it is because Israel agreed to make concessions and start to withdraw its military from the Strip. And yet every time one of these brief ceasefires comes about, it seems to me that it's always broken by a suicide bombing in Israel. I understand that there are many dead Palestinians and Lebanese thanks to Israels military strikes, but please understand that there are also many dead and innocent Israelis because of suicide bombings. If you want people to stop dying, don't allow terrorist factions to exist. Israel has a right as does any country to defend itself from outside attackers and to combat terrorism in any way possible. I would support their strikes against Hezbollah and Hamas whether or not Hezbollah or Hamas had ever attacked Israel.
