i'm a metallica fan, and wanted to get this tattoo : http://www.eviltattoo.com/mi1051.jpg
(and justice for all album, picture of the broken scales of justice)

but my friend thinks it would piss a lot of people off, especially in the tattoo community... what do you think?

I have 7 tattoos, and as much as I like that tattoo you picked put I think you friend is right!! The tattoo is very symbolic, and if you were to get it where it is only seen if you show it off then I think it would be ok, but if you meant it to be seen by everyone you come into contact with then you will probably be offending many, many people! If you are the type of person who does not care what anybody else thinks about you then it really doesn't matter, but if you want to stay away from offending people you might want to pick a different tattoo!

I like it.I say get whatever means something to you and you won't be embarrasses or ashamed of in the years to come.
Get it a small scale so if you want to cover it you can but if you want it to show it will.
If it is just for you and what you really want then it doesn't matter how anyone else will take it. I doubt it will piss off anyone in tattoo industry.I think they have seen it all already.

i hate tattoos and i don't have any but actually i like that one. the ones i hate are the stupid ones that don't mean anything to the person wearing them. if it expresses your personality then go for it. I like that image because it stands for something (not just that you're a metallica fan, but it expresses an opinion that American justice is not all it's cracked up to be.)

Do your friends have any idea what it means. It is the lady of Justice. It means that justice should alway's be blind and not take sides that's why her scales are equally balanced. I would get it, I think it stands for something important that this country seems to have lost

Cool idea for a tat.
I think anybody with a tattoo would agree that you're getting the tattoo for yourself, not because of what somebody else thinks. There might be people who are offended by it, but you can't make everybody happy.

I like it...I have 4 tattoos myself and am a HUGE Metallica fan.

As you know, tattoos are about SELF-EXPRESSION...who cares what others think? Sweetie, it's YOUR body...YOUR right...do what makes you happy..

Love being inked, Marilyn

tattoo yourself with what you want, just be aware that you will eventually be an eighty year old man with that tatoo. i have a bunch, but theyre all cover ups- pretty floral ornamental things that are tatooed over silly ex boyfriends names, anarchy signs silly homemade terrible tattoos. and if i could go back and not have any at all, i would. but getting them removed looks like youre a burn victim, so i just covered them with good tattoos.

Who cares what others think. Get what you want, just make sure it is something you will want to live with years and years down the road. I have some tats, and I always make sure they are something that I will enjoy even when I am an old fart!

who cares if it offends anyone, do it for yourself. if that is what you want then get it, be a rebel and stand up for what you want to wear............. just remember it will be with you for the rest of your life unless you get it removed! OUCH...... I love Metallica and I find no tattoos offensive, everyone is different with their own beliefs!
