That's how anime characters are suppose to look like. The characters are not based on real life people but rather on what people have come to accept them to look as.

You can't say that's completly true. In some animes there are characters who look asian, but not all of them have to.
Besides, the character is drawn in the way that they thought the personality would fit, just how the creators imagined them.
And most of the time they know that some of the anime will be dubbed to other countries, especially in North America.

some do. yet even the only's that do not nevertheless keep a eastern body of recommendations and international view about them. if you have become your anime from outdoors of Japan(is there somewhat all that a lot exported chinese language anime and mangna?) the exporters attempt to promote as a lot as they can and comics that are crammed with asian characters received't promote as well. also, the first technology of present day eastern comic artists replaced into heavily inspired by skill of American GI's after international warfare 2. The artist's in Japan said alot of western style faces in image style. also, japan is crowded with asian featured people, image storys are an leisure so why not have unique looking characters in it, the non-asian face is unique to them. so a techniques because the attatudes bypass, the over-sized lips to the point of sillyness is something you'll by no skill see in American comics,it really is a eastern jab at foreigners and may likely be considered racist if a Western(US,Canada,uk) artist did it. in a lot of anime inspite of if a lady is the lead or a significant personality she isn't instantly away equivalent to the male characters and has to instruct that she will be able to stay alongside of the instantly away more advantageous boys. interior the eastern language women people are nevertheless dealt with as second classification(inspite of the actuality that it really is slowly replacing.) yet another question that flows via alot of anime(digital video) and manga(image novel) is the social project of overcrowding and position interior the international. it really is an extremely eastern question and also you wont see it close to as a lot in Western comics or lively video clips. also in case you favor to experience more suitable of the asian body of recommendations in them get a sturdy subtitled version. In comics, Naruto in Shojen leap trys to go away in alot of eastern words and techniques and looks to be a lot less westernized than the comic strip community version. in case you've considered Fullmetal Alchemist the female who trains the brothers is probaly their sensei not "instructor", and there is yet another clarification why they don't look asian: the sequence is determined in Europe around the time of WW2 not alot of asian faces there. so that you need to sum up, the society and cultural attitudes are in asian comics lots of the time, the facial valuable houses(and by no skill all asians have the fold above the eyes besides) are there somewhat some the time and no race that i recognize of has evidently blue, red, or eco-friendly hair.

I think you never know about diversity of Japanese cartoons (manga). Or I just wondering if your country don't import cartoons (manga) from Japan in which people look obviously Asian so far???

For example, if we look at one piece anime, it is drawn based on the 4 blue seas which is another world, not the world same as ours. another good example will be fullmetal alchemist in munich, characters would have wear and appear to look like people of that world and time.
remember: characters are drawn based on story, location, time.
if you look at Samurai 7 anime, its based on japan and have more japanese-look such as wearing and hairstyle.

it's the style of the cartoon and depends on the author
in american comics, you see white ppl look white, and asians asian.
maybe to not have a culture gap? why draw diff. skin colors, but i have yet to see the same mangaka draw diff. ethnicities w/ differing characteristics other than skin color.
