First off thank you for asking this question!

Hi, My name is Lynn and I am 15 years old, I am a sophomore in High school and this topic means a lot to me! More than most would think. I joined my speech and debate team and this is a topic we discuss a lot!

I don't agree with this war. I think we were lied to and that this is a ridiculous attempt at Oil. Originally we went over there because they attacked the world trade center. But instead of going after the organization that attacked us we just let the entire country have it, Just because the people that hurt us were from there we went all Jackie Chan on their entire country??? Excuse me but that's wrong, That's like someone attacking us, and saying we all need to die because the KKK lives here! Its dumb!

Bush uses 911 as a constant fear tactic, to keep Americans scared of another attack and keep him in the green! Our country is always on High Alert, WHY, I don't think its necessary! Do You? I think this war is a stupid cover for Bush's selfish agenda. We as Americans need to spend more time questioning our government, and our president!

Peace.Love.Hope

This war is NOT about 9/11!! September 11 was THE FINAL STRAW!! We probably should have shown some muscle over there long ago. The Middle East Terrorists have been aiming for America for decades, not just since 2001. (Check our terror history back to the '70s) Saddam was NOT going to just lay low and....he was a HITLER in the making and he HATED AMERICANS! Get a clue! We were sitting ducks, I'm glad we took defensive action and are now on the offense. Do I think Bush is doing the right thing? Yes, I just wish he was pushing harder! GET'ER DONE! And yes, my family has been personally touched by this war, in case you were thinking I didn't have any loved ones over there.

It has totally changed my view on capitalism (which I grew up thinking was a great thing). But that same capitalism has changed us from a Democracy into Corporatocracy and taken away our rights. Big corporate entities pay for the campaigns of political candidates so they can write laws, if you go against them you get no airtime even if you try to buy it from them. Worse than that our sheeple are so dumb that all they have to do is dress them up with a good, wholesome, sounding name and we believe it (ie. clear skies act which allows more pollution or no child left behind act or patriot act). The Iraq War itself is the first preemptive invasion of a country since Hitler invaded Poland and it was based on more lies than I can keep track of anymore.

In short War sucks in general, but too many Americans make too much money off it for it to stop anytime soon without some massive domestic revolt.

I definitly think it is neccessary for america to be over there. Saddam Husein would have eventually went fourth with a nuclear weapons program and what most people don't know is that he funded terrisom. He would pay 25,00 each to the familys of the suicide bombers. Now this is a fact that he did this but you will not hear stuff like this in american newspapers like the New York times cause they hate busch and they have a personal vendetta against him cause they are far left radicals and don't share the same views on Christianity, in which are country was founded on by the way.Sadam also had affilitions with AL Quieda his son were terrisoing women in Irag by raping them and just taking whatever they wanted. Don't forget Saddam also never was punished for killing and tourting thousands of his own country men for no reason but he thought they were not loyal to him and they had slighlty different views on islam to put it in lamens terms.

It doesn't really have much impact on my life. I do think it is a waste of lives and money though. I think it is really just to make certain people in powerful positions very rich.

I think they need to kick some *** and come home instead of being so nice about things and investigating this or that. It's a WAR. Go in, kill anything that moves or hasn't evacuated themselves and be done with it, install a couple of military installations (like Japan) and then go home.

kill all insurgents, let Iraq rule itself democratically, and then bring our troops home

wake up America! These people want you, me, and everyone you know to die! We must and will win!

i think we need to finish what we started and not worry about what the morality is of it. it would only mess things up if we decided to give up and go home. how american is that. we're not giver uppers.
