Are there any IPOD alternatives that are good for the money? Also, what is a price I should expect to pay and what is a good memory size?

All you Creativ , Rio, Sansa, and Sandisk fanboys really suck and are really stupid. Nothing's better than the iPod. I'll give you a few reasons why iPods are popular. By the way, I am talking about a 30GB 5G iPod. First, it can hold 7500 songs. You don't see many MP3 Players that can do that do you? Also, the video capabilities option is wonderful. I have at least 100 videos on mine, a bunch of south park episodes, the simpsons, family guy, and 10 movies on top of that, and still room for 750 songs and over 400 photos, with 5GB to spare for whatever I want. And the iPod is one of the very few Mp3 players that can be hacked. I mean the real deal, playing Doom, Half-Life, Quake, and more games on it, writing text documents on it, painting pictures on it, and a whooole lot more. Look into iPod Linux, Rockbox, and iPod Wizard (for more info on this, go to http://iPodForum.co.nr and register please or else you cannot see the forums.) And I could go on an on all day about why you should get the iPod Video. One other reason: once you have it in your hand the first time, you will never put it down. It's got a great look and I take mine everywhere. To school, on the bus, to the mall, my friends' houses, I even listen to it when I'm falling asleep. I'm addicted to it. I love it. If you have one you know what I'm talking about and if you get one then you'll soon know.

I like the entire "zen" line from "creative." I have a Zen Neeon 5gb, it can hold up to 2500 songs and only cost $180. The only place I have found that sells the Zen Neeon though is Walmart online. My sisters have the Zen Micros, and like those, and my dad has the Zen Nano, which is the only player in the Zen line with a flash memory instead of a hard drive.

i purchased a SanDisk Sansa about a month in the past for $sixty 5 at ideal purchase. It has each and everything i pick ( 2GB, radio, mp3, and different issues that i dont use). i did not purchase one with pictures because i'm only utilising for even as i'm operating. yet in case you'd be utilising it better than i'm, you should purchase an iPod. they're better useful.
