It just depends on the words, the music, and the singer. I love Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man song....but I hate Aerosmith's Don't Want To Miss a Thing....
Sad rock songs are always ok....some ballads are ok, too.

Heres a ballad for you------House of Pain by Faster Pussycat or Faithfully by JourneySweet Home by Motley Crue or Into The Night by Benny Mardones or Good-bye by Nightranger. These are good songs. You don't like these ballads?
