Not only do I read through their other questions/answers, I take notes. I have a notebook I keep beside the monitor just for that occasion. What I do, ya see, is start with their very first Q'S & A'S, and try to piece as much together about them as I can. Like where they live, when they were born, where they work, etc... Their likes and dislikes. Their taste in movies and music. Their favorite food. Then, once I have their location narrowed down to app. 30 sq. miles or so, I start honing in. I'm clever about it, however. I may "accidentally" bump into that person on the street, wearing their favorite cologne, or eating their favorite candy bar, etc... Then, say if that person likes Matchbox 20, I'll just happen to have one of their CDs "fall" out of my backpack. Yeah, I'm good...REAL good.

So, I think I've got you narrowed down to somewhere between Billings, Montana and Wichita Falls. If you'd just ask some more questions, I could find you in no time...MWAHAHAHAHA

Hi, Snow Covered... my name is Hank. It is not creepy to check other's questions and answers. Sometimes you even need to do it more than once.

An example was this morning I ran across people spouting hatred towards Israel by posing statements as questions. I followed the question to their authors and rebutted every one of their hateful and profane questions. I then reported them as abuse.

I'm amazed at the amount of hate that is being spread by this forum. If children are on this site--Yahoo is being remiss by letting some of the claptrap on this site slide.

I hope you're not the only one doing this. I think the more people who do this and report what's happening to Yahoo Answers the better this site will become.

I enjoy the forum very much. It sounds as if you enjoy answering questions as well.

Well, Snow Covered..., it's been a pleasure communicating with you. Oh, in case your wondering about the way I addressed your handle--it's because that's all that shows up beside your question. If I knew your entire name I would address it accordingly. ttfn

actually when I am taking the time to post a response to a persons question that I take a lot of time gathering research and time writing my response then I do tend to glance over the other responses just to see what others wrote to see if people out there take the time to make an educational response or if they are just writing something to earn 2 points. What angers me the most, I can sometimes spend up to 45 minutes writing a response to a question and trying to make everything in it educational, and 90% of the responses to a question that I have taken my time on aren't picked as the best answer rather the person who writes back and say something stupid like "yeah man, i think that you should do that.." gets picked. So , in other words, yes I do like to read other responses just so that I know what I am up against.

Sometimes.

Sometimes ppl's questions are so funny/interesting, that you want to readtheirother questions.

Or out of curiousity, when you see a certain avatar again and again, and seethat that person has done "heckuva job" asking questions, like flies lay eggsduring rainy season. Eg Fever, she has ( accordingto her, 50 open questions).

I went through my questions and answers and was really shocked. I have said while answering questions, things that I wouldn't have said to people I knew, forfear of exposing too much of my personality, inner thoughts to them. My religious views, my failures ( When was the lasttime you cried), my self-obsession ( Would you sell your friends to buy your life?) , my interests, hobbies and funny incidents, and my views on politics ( Which is the mostobnoxious country in this world?) have been laid bare, through the coupleof hundred answers I posted here.

And we do this, assuming that we are safe, from eavesdropping, that nooneis listening, that ourquestions/ answers are being lost amid the chorus of thousands thatthrong this site.

But what if our assumptions are wrong? Our IPs are logged, and even our deleted questions stayin memory banks. Can it be a conspiracy? It could be. A lot can be found abot a personthruhis questions/Answers.

If it's creepy you now have company! I often do this to see if there is anything else they are asking that I may want to answer.
Sometimes I do, other times I don't. I even have a couple of people on the watch list so that I can quickly check to see what new questions they have asked. I can see that I enjoy yours so I may add you to my list! CREEPY! LOL

I do it a lot. I enjoy reading answers to other questions for the more interesting people. It's a good way to find good questions too. I guess it could be creepy, never thought of that.

I do this all the time. It is not creepy. It would be creepy if you were trying to steal their identity or learn information not publicly posted. Trying to get to know someone by their questions and answers shows that you are both intelligent and inquisitive. That's a winning combination!
Enjoy.

Why would you say it's creepy? The point of this site is to share information. If you find a particular user's questions or answers are interesting to you, you SHOULD read their others.

Often reading a thought provoking question prompts reading the writer's answers. On the other hand, if an answer is off the wall I don't waste time reading what questions they may have submitted.
