Does anyone know what type of indoor mold would be bluish-green (aquamarine), small, and circular?

I've performed an over-the-counter mold test in my basement, and that was the primary result in the Petri dish. A control test outdoors showed a wider variety of molds, but a lot less of the aquamarine type.

Thanks for your knowledge/guesses.

Thanks for the first response. I'm in the Washington, DC area.

I guess I should make clear that we have a finished basement with recessed lighting, carpeting, and drywall. It was like this when we got it; I probably wouldn't get another house with a fully carpeted basement.

hmmm, i happen to no a mycologyst (person who studies mushrooms and fungies) and when i asked him about it he showed me a picture in a book of about 3 "aquamarine" fungi, so it depends on where you live, and the conditions of your basement, however he said that if was in the basement he said it was probably a mold called "Jacobson's Mold" you can find it mostly in the northwestern states, but if your trying to grow mold on bread or cheese or somhting, then it could of showed up if it was humid, and dim. however if your basement was humid and completely dark, then i have no clue what it could be, it could still be Jacobson's but theres not much of a chance of that.
