you cannot restore it,

but u can remove it.

In the motherboard, near the IDE Control(in my PC) three pins are there, then two of them are fixed with nibs, change the place of the nibs(remove it and place it in another, becoz, two are fixed, anothre one is free).

Then reboot.now the password will removed. check it.
if its removed, shut the computer.

and then replace the nibs in place.

Are you sure the battery was properly re-attached? Sometimes a loosely attached battery will cause that. In the older types of boards, a metal clip is used to hold the battery in place and as far as I remember, a certain fluid is needed to maintain contact.

Other than that, try the phoenix website for information on any 'default' passwords put into that version of your bios.

for some motherboards, just removal of batteries wont do the thing. You need to short two contacts with the help of a jumper or a srew driver. Your motherboard seems to be an old one, so you should try to get the manual. Try to read the prints on the board with a magnifier, if you are lucky the jumper would have indicated.

Heres what I did in my old P3 computer to remove the CMOS password. I removed the cmos battery and started the computer. You should see that you are not asked for the password anymore. Now turn off your computer and replace the CMOS battery. Turn on your computer enter CMOS setup and set the time. :D

This works for me. Takes only 10 seconds. You don't need to wait 30min.

Did you've the skill twine disconnected once you probably did this? you want to have all skill faraway from the equipment to thoroughly drop the BIOS password. upon getting done this you'll favor to bypass into the BIOS to set the equipment date. subsequently you may want to go with the F2 determination to bypass into setup to set the equipment date. If the date isn't set again to Jan a million, 1970 or so then the BIOS did not completely sparkling.
