Help getting a stain out of clothing?

I burned a dress shirt with the iron...not much of an ironer...and of course without thinking I forgot to clean the burned stuff off the iron and when I ironed my favorite shorts it got brown/black gunk all over it. Any ideas on how to get it off?

I used to used hand cleaner. YOu know to get grase and things off. when my kids wre growning up got lots of stains off their clothes. But not sure abouut the irons gunk... worh a try .get you some at autozone,,etc

sounds ruined.. throw it away and learn from mistake
