I've just started charting my BBT-Basal Body Temperature when I first wake up but for the last few days it is always around 96 to 96.5 degrees. All the charts I have found start only at 97 degrees. Should I worry about my temperature being a degree lower than the charts or not?

No, I'm not using the method yet, but just finished reading Toni Weschler's book about it. She says if you're consistently lower than the preprinted charts, you can just cross out the 97 and replace it with a 96 (then change the 98 to a 97, etc... recalibrating the chart to match your body better.) The principles of FAM don't change at all just because your BBT happens to be a little lower than "normal."

not all people have the average body temperature of 98.6 to begin with . . . so when charting your bbt, yours actually might be a little lower than the "norm" . . . chart it as you read it . . . you can also use the calendar on this site to help you determine ovulation days ........ http://www.babyhopes.com/ovulation-calendar/index.html
