Take out the trash and stop keeping perishables where the flies can get to them. You probably have maggots somewhere in the house if you're getting gnats, follow the stink. One of my former roommates, former for obvious reasons... left a bag of potatos in the pantry (I didn't store anything there, so I never looked in there...) which got fly infested and there was maggots all over the pantry. It was absolutely disgusting. I noticed an odd smell coming from somewhere in the kitchen and found that filth.

First, clean the trash can and all counter tops, range, table and appliances. Then, using a pint size glass jar, place the ring and seal lid in place and punch holes in the top of the seal lid. Take the lid back off and fill the jar halfway with vinegar. Gnats will go inside the jar but they can' t come back out. Use an ice pick and do not make the holes big. They need to be just large enough for the gnats to go into the jar. Odd but gnats are attracted to vinegar. It does work, I have tried it. In the future, do not leave fruit on the counters uncovered during the warm seasons.

Make sure you take out your trash frequently, and never leave trash, or an unclean kitchen overnight. If you have a fruit bowl keep it covered with a kitchen towel, or some kind of cloth (keep the bowl clean as well). Keep your trashcan clean by using bleach. Bleach is a very effective, inexpensive cleaner. It thoroughly disinfects, deodorizes, and cleans. I use to use a lot of other products like Pine-Sol, Mr. Clean, etc., they don't touch what bleach can do.

you probably have something rotting in your trash can or check whatever fruit you have on the counter. if it is bad, throw it out but then take the trash out also. once you get rid of the garbage, the gnats should go away in a few days. otherwise you could get fly spray. it works on gnats too.

They have a short life span but reproduce easily. Get rid of any standing water in your sink, make sure there's no food in your garbage disposal and keep your trash can emptied. Clean it out with a bleach product and put in a new bag. If you have any friut or veggies out on the counter put them in the fridge or do without the bananas for a few days until you clear up the problem.

Clean your garbage can with bleach or Lysol, and take the garbage out frequently. If you have anything sweet or sweet-smelling in the kitchen, keep it coverred. And scrub the kitchen thoroughly on a regular schedule, especially on the floors: If the kitchen gets used a lot things will get spilled and will draw bugs.
Good luck!

They are probably fruit flies. I'd empty the trash and clean the can out real good, make sure it's good and dry before you put another bag in it. Also make sure you don't have any food set out on the counter tops.
I normally get fruit flies this time of year because we have a garden, and I let my tomatoes finish ripening on the countertop instead of the vine. As soon as the tomatoes are gone, the flies go, too.

We recently had this problem they are food bugs so don't leave food like fruits sitting out for a long period of time, and try to take your trash outs often. If you are still having a problem try using a fogger they are usually by the bug sprays.

Clean out your garbage everyday. Clean your trash can. Lysol everything. Keep your screens down when your windows are open. Having a clean environment makes it undesirable for any bugs or insects because there is no reason for them to be there.

Yes, wash your garbage can, clean your kitchen. Clean out everything that has food in it, i.e., refrigerator, cabinets, pantry. That will get rid of them. I imagine what you have are baby flies that have hatched from maggots. Clean your kitchen thoroughly!
