Its inherent that if we look at that area on a girl we will think of sex. A tattoo on the lower back makes that area stand out, and can actually be very sexy because it has an effect on how your waste and your booty look.
Its like asking why are guys more attracted to "G" strings over granny panties.

I have a W there, which is for my husbands last name. I think its an obessesion spot 'cause it draws the attention to the trunk, and gives an excuse for glancing downstairs. Plus, if you are carrying extra weight, thats one of the first places you see it, around the waist, so it shows off a healthy weight.
