It's my first week but this guy is starting to look like the biggest moron I've ever met...

I used to feel that way, I never understood what those people did all day. They didn't have the first clue how I did my job and were constantly coming to me and asking me questions. Why didn't they just let me framitz my whoitz and leave me alone.

Then one day I needed something to do my job. I went to my manager and he got me what I needed. Some time after that, I moved up a bit and got a peak into a different world. It seemed that I wasn't actually the center of the world but a piece in a bigger machine. Guess who was keeping that bigger machine running? It wans't me, it was my manager.

Turns out, I didn't know a single thing about his job and what he knew about my job was enough to make sure he hired the right person to do it.

Not all managers are geniuses but not all of them are morons by a long shot. Walk a mile in my moccasins and all that jazz, right?

You will perhaps not be able to stand it any better, but at least you can laugh about it by reading an old book called "The Peter Principle." There really is no other explanation as to why so many of these people become management. See the web sites below for an explanation and purchasing the book. Everyone should have a copy.

yes they're are some people out there that shoudlnt have the priveledge of being manager. the only reason those people are managers are because of connections or because theyre brown nosers. a bad manager can destroy the whole company. a bad manager will draw employees away because of their stupidity
