This is an easy question.

There is no winner. Noone is right in this except the countries offering aid to the suffering.

The losers are the innocent civilians being terrorized and having bombs dropped on their children.

Iran. Iran is a theocratic state ruled by the Shia sect of the Muslim faith. The two largest sects are the Shia and the Sunni and they have been warring with each other since the demise of their prophet Mohammad. Iran appears to be the ones out front because:

The U.S. has pretty well nullified any power the Sunnis had in Afghanistan.

The U.S. forced the Sunnis from power in Iraq allowing the majority Shia to have more power.

Hezbollah in Lebanon is Shia

Since the problem in Lebanon started it has diverted world attention from Iran and its attempt (maybe a reality) to create nuclear weapons. Heaven help the world if nations ruled by religious fervor get the bomb.

The Iraq conflict is expensive, and unclear, sure. however the end results of no longer struggling with and triumphing it is going to likely be horrifically extra beneficial. we've 4 concepts: a million. we are able to defeat the Jihad now, before it gets nuclear weapons. 2. we are able to combat the Jihad later, after it gets nuclear weapons (which would be as early as next 365 days, if Iran's progression on nuclear weapons is what Iran claims it is). 3. we are able to offer as much as the Jihad and settle for its dominance interior the middle East, now, in Europe contained in right here few years or an prolonged time, and ultimately in u.s.. 4. Or we are able to stand down now, and %. up the combat later whilst the Jihad is extra familiar and extra desirable armed, possibly after the Jihad has ruled France and Germany, that's nicely underway, and doubtless various the the remainder of Europe. it is going to likely be extra risky, extra high priced, and much bloodier then. sure, the Jihadist say that they look ahead to an Islamic u.s.. in case you oppose this conflict, i'm hoping you like the concept your infants, or grandchildren, could stay in an Islamic u.s. below the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic regulation as dictated with the aid of the Qur'an), an u.s. that resembles Iran immediately. we are able to be defeatist peace-activists as anti-conflict varieties look, and concede, resign, to Jihad, or we are able to do despite it takes to win this conflict against it. The background of the international is the background of civilizational clashes -cultural clashes. All wars are approximately concepts, concepts approximately what society and civilization could desire to be like (many times ruled with the aid of non secular dogma), and the main desperate continuously win. people who're keen to be the main ruthless win. The pacifists continuously lose, because of the fact the anti-pacifists kill them.

The only true winners of any war are those who chose not to participate in it.

I believe Confucious said it best: "War doesn't decide who's right, War decides who's left"

Someone should share that with Big Daddy Bush.
