Well, Marc Anthony would be the romantic answer, but I think she just used men for her own personal pleasure because she was nobility. Men of power and influence were just a means to an end. It was all about securing her own power and furthering her own agenda by any means necessary.

Based on what little I have read about Cleopatra, I have to conclude that Cleopatra's TRUE love was Cleopatra. I'll grant you I am not an expert on the subject but it seems to me like most of the things she is credited with would really only enhance one life, her own.

Cleopatra loved herself more than anyone else. She loved Antony as well, but not as much. She did things for others, but most of the time she was serving herself. Men fell at her feet. And why not? She was an Egyptian queen.
