america only attack small countries, Why dont attack countries like Russia,china,India...?

The US wouldn't attack China. Although we have some gripes with them over the trade imbalance, we really have no bone to pick with them. In fact, they are currently bankrolling us. We owe them billions. India? Attack them for what? Russia is no threat to the US. With the fall of communism, the Russians are neither a real or perceived threat. I don't know of any time in history when ANY country, let alone the US, attacked another on the basis of geographic or population size. It has nothing to do with it.

No offense to anyone, but like all other countries we are cowards. We do not fight wars unless we know we can win. This is a theory developed by Metternich of Austria many years back. He helped Europe reach peace by making all countries the same strength. Therefore no country would attack another due to how they were even and war would be costly. The irony is that even fighting a small country like Iraq, we have still not won. We are losing men every day and this war has cost billions upon billions. So if we can't even beat a small country how are we supposed to fight the big ones. Plus we have peace agreements with China and Russia despite some tensions.

Why would America? I personally don't think we ever should have attacked Iraq in the first place, but apparently Bush did...he apparently linked Iraq to terrorism even though the evidence pointed elsewhere and we still found no weapons of mass destruction.
As for Russia, China, India, etc... why would we attack them? We have alliances, none of them support terrorists, none of them have attacked us, and we even have quite a lot of commerce with them.
I don't think we should attack anybody, let alone be the policemen of the world. But if we get attacked, we should retaliate immediately and decisively. But I'm not the president...yet.

I really don't believe that the United States would like to have the entire world turn against it. It wouldn't be all that fun.

Plus, whenever we engage war with another country, we don't do it alone. We are always helped out by our allies and the United Nations.

Why would you attack somebody who had a chance of beating you?

We knew Iraq didn't have WMD, so we decided to attack them before they produced any. Once a country had such weapons we risk losing a lot of lives if we were to attack.
