Well popular magazines... I assume that you are talking about US weekly, In Touch etc...

Well they aren't geared toward the Anglo race. They are geared toward people who don't regard privacy as a number one goal. The people who now are angry with some of the "Stalkeratzzi" have created them. Liindsey, Paris< PAmela etc...have used the cameras to jump start there careers where are other individuals such as Oprah Winfery ( shes in occasionally), Salma Hayek etc, have actually used there skills and brains to advance there careers. So that basically the people who you see all the time in some way shape or form want to be seen and need the magazines to keep a career, because there talent alone is not great enough. The other people not constantly in the magazine as my souther freinds would say " keep there business outta the street"

You have to be kidding, right? Not one tabloid magazine goes a weeks without featuring Beyonce in some article. Star Jones has been everywhere latley. Look harder. And if the newsstand doesn't feature them, just check out blogs and such on the internet. You're bound to find something.

Magazines do what sells the most, like any other business. So if focusing on "Anglo" is where the money is, then that's what they're going to do.

I don't read any of these type of magazines, but aren't there other magazines focused on minorities?

And no offense taken, it's a good question.

I am not being racist either, but, it seems magazines are t'wards whites. I think it is maybe because of money issues. The white suburban kids what to be "hip". The house wifes need Enquirer and soap operas. Typically, but not always, the whites have money and will pay. Jay-Z in no N.W.A. He is accepted by whites... "jigga"? What does that mean? It is a PG version of the work ******.

b/cuz the other people are more interesting. If Beyonce was adopting a bunch of foriegn kids and hooking up with the hottest guy in hollywood she would be on the cover as well.

one answer may be because there are more white people in America than minorities, so I guess they figure they make more money by catering to them. i never really got the sense that there weren't many minority celebs in magazines though.

It's all about money. There's a bigger population of white people buying more magazines, so they get what they want to see.

the majority of people in america are white so they want to see more people of their own race.
