This may not be what you want to hear, but you can do it yourself without anything but will power. When I quit, the patch wasn't available nor were any of the other aids. You simply need to make up your mind and do it. I chose to quit when I was out of town on vacation and TOTALLY away from my usual routine. By the time I got home, I'd already gone ten days without a cigarette and I didn't want to screw things up. I'd smoked for a long time when I quit.

First try to avoid the bars for awhile, tell your friends and family you are trying to quit and need their support and have a really bossy person that you can call if you feel like your going to buy a pack. If your a heavy smoker, you may want to get your doctor involved. Personally, I smoked maybe a pack a week, but it was very enjoyable for me. The worst was in my car, so I stopped smoking alltogether in my car, and I found having to go outside at work to smoke looked trashy and unprofessional, so I avoided that, too. Finally I just started to forget about smoking and found it was a major turnoff to smell smoke on other people. Remember it takes repeating a behavior 22 times in a row to develop a habit. So try to start to new healthy habit. Suckers in the car helped distract me. A craving usually lasts no longer than 5 minutes, so if you can make it through one craving at a time, they will begin to disappear.

My grandfather used to smoke. He knew it was very bad for so he tried Smoke Away, He stoped for about 2 weeks and then he started smoking again, so he thought since he likes cinnamin sticks so much he would replace his cigerattes with the cinnamin sticks and act like the cinnamin sticks were his cigirattes.

* I hope what I told You will work. All you have to do is just quit and you will have a better life. :)

Here's a list:
-Kill yourself.
-Chew gum.
-Get the cigar out of your mouth.
-Get that new cigarette flavored drink at a gas station.
-Hurt yourself/hire someone to hurt you everytime you smoke.
-Think of all the innocent creatures that have no choice but to breathe.
-Get a lover. Your lover will likely not kiss someone who has bad breath and/or bad teeth.
-Consult a therapist.

The Best thing to do is do not start. If you have started and find it difficult to stop, then the new FDA approved medication might help you, read more at http://www.wiseorb.com/Articles-review-182-T-PFIZER%92S_VARENICLINE_%96_FDA_APPROVED_ANTI_SMOKING_DRUG%2E_.htm
