i have been selling on ebay for a long time and my tips are reserch what you want to sell make sure their are not a lot of people with that item to much of one thing is never good, once you have done that if it something you can get a lot of and it seems to be somthing that would sell good start of putting a few on it they are a hit then make sure you have a ready supply, if it is just house hold items make sure you let those know it is not new condition ect.

Good pictures you will be surprised that most people don't even take the time to read a description they look and shipping and a picture and sometime feedback and if it is something some one really wants that all they depend on so make sure you have a really good camera that takes really good pictures.

a scale is very importent so you know how much to charge for shipping you can actually get these on ebay for a good price, also lot of packing material if your items are fragile.

Know were youring going to sell USA only or globaly get to know their shipping rates and how you are going to ship.

Payments what type of payments i love paypal and have been lucky to never have any problems and you are protected and so is the buyer so most will rather pay with paypal that way they can use a credit card or e-check.

if using other types like money orders or checks make sure you hold them tell they clear yes even a money order my bank said they can be canceled the best when dealing with that is a bank or postal money order i only take postal because they can be cashed at the post office so when i go ship the item i just use their money order no hassle.

check look at other auctions take your time and know it takes money to make money it not free to list on ebay or use paypal i know i am leaving somthing out so i am sure others can help you their.

If you sell on ebay Good luck

You need to have a high satisfaction rate.

Make sure you spell your listing correctly. Misspellings can cost you money. Either no one can find your listing or they buy it much less than it is worth.

Be honest with the product you are selling. People do not being mislead.

Have fun. Not many people are going to make a living on ebay but it is a good way to get some extra income while cleaning out your attic.
