It depends on what your future goals are. A BS in a Science field and a minor in Business or vice verse, or, BS in Bio and minor in Computer Sci or vice verse are good if you plan to have a career in the Biotech industry. But a BS in Biology and minor in chem or math doesn't do much. So, in short. A BS in one field and minor in a total different college could be a good thing but could take awhile to do because usually you get minors in a related area to your BS. These situations can help if you are getting a higher degree too. For instance if you get a BS in Biology and minor in Business (Liberal Arts) and you work for a couple of years in the biotech field and then want to get a MBA then having the Business classes can get help by reducing the number of classes you have to take to get the MBA. Anyway, ask your counselor and decide what general area you want to pursue for you career and go from there.
