I've seen a cream that can be used to remove tattoos but didn't know if it would work. Anyone have any thoughts on the best way to do it?

According to my cousin who's had his own tattoo shop for the last 8 years the answer is yes and no... the process is really slow (6 mths and more), works better on some colors than others (he says indian black is really hard to remove) and works better on some skin types and tones than others.

He also says the best place to get your tattoo removed is... at a tattoo shop. There's two ways, the old way was to tattoo a skin like color over the old tattoo, but you'd look patchy if you tanned, the new technique is to tattoo neutralizers over the old tattoo that break up and disperse the colors, he says also that you can fade indian black until it's nearly unnoticeable... but you can never get rid of it completely.

Only tattoos that can be removed by a cream are the non permanent ones. Lasers and plastic surgery are the only ways to get rid of tattoos.

I'm sure there are some idiots who will sand it off, dig it out, or burn you until you can't recognize it I've read about places that will remove gang related tattoos for free or for very little but for some reason, I doubt that is the case here So, to try and get you to understand what kind of question this is: are there any banks in Chicago that give you thousands of dollars? are there any police in Chicago that will pay you to break the law? are there any flying pink elephants in Chicago that I could rent for my sons 178th wedding anniversary? if you are actually trying to get a gang tat removed, I'm not sure who you'd want to talk to. maybe a reputable tattoo joint in the area

I thought the only way a tattoo can be removed is via laser treatments... but they're a bit expensive.

Well, you can go for the long painful yet permanent and fully removal process of laser surgery, a cream that will fade the tattoo not fully, have the tat covered with another tat or just leave it alone.

Well, I've heard of that cream too, although I don't know the name, they say it is good, and it works better if the tattoo is black (as ironic as it sounds, black ink is the easiest to remove) Red ink is the hardest. So, yeah you might wanna give it a try so you don't have to do laser removal.

there is no cream that will remove a tattoo. Only expensive laser treatment will get rid of them

I have seen this. I think it is a great option! it take about 6 months to remove totally, but youll have no scars. Dont forget it youd rather have aother one, tattoos can always be manipulated and changed into a different one if thats your goal.

I've seen it too. It fades the ink out. I don't know anybody that's used it, so I don't know how well it works. I would give it a shot. I'd rather used a fading creme than have surgery or something else.
