Israel has every right to protect herself from her enemies. Not all Arabs are enemies of Israel. There are Jewish, Muslim and Christian Arabs.
Lebanon is NOT the enemy, but the terrorist groups Hezbollah and Hamas are. May peace prevail in the region. And peace is brought upon a one-way victory if the terrorists are defeated.
The United States is an ally with Israel and Bush should "help" Israel if they need it. However, the Israeli Army is very sufficient and should be able to take care of Hezbollah, but if Iran and Syria continue to "gang up" on Israel then we may have to further assist Israel.

Bush was the !st USA President to work for a Palestinian State and He got a resolution at the UN for that. the problem is with the Israeli lobby at USA congress If he goes far for his Palestinian State call he will have a hard time in the congress from the Israeli lobby the ppl in congress care about election and who want to stand against the Israeli lobby and lose his or her election. Both Republican and Democratic Presidents depends on the Israeli lobby to lobby the congress a clear example of that Bush support of most of the democrats in the Congress on Iraq war policy. The Israeli lobby is able to pass laws through the US Congress that would oppose US national interests
THEY DARE TO SPEEK OUT is book by American Republican Congressman Paul Finally where he described the power of the Jewish Lobby in the Congress

The US has supported Isreal since it was founded after WWII. The British, who had controlled the region up till then, were against the formation of Israel because they forsaw the problems that would be created there, but the US wanted an ally in the region. Politics is never about what is right or wrong, but about selfish interests.

The U.S. government has long been a supporter, supplier of munitions and a ally. Israels actions have been an embarrassment to the U.S. in the past and will do so again. Just remember that Israel is a democratic country surround by many times their population that wants to see them dead and gone. Their tactics can be despicable but given their situation what would you have them do. It is probably long past due for the UN to send peace keeper's into to area to diffuse this awful situation.

Honestly, I believe this could esculate into a world war. From Isreal bombings to retaliation, to the crisis in Iraq to N. Korea firing missles into the air, things are looking pretty dim. And Bush is not helping either. Instead of remaing neutral to have a negotiating ground, he is stupidly overheard making brash comments about the crisis in Israel to Tony Blair.
All in all, from the unnessary deaths of US soilders by way of roadside bombs and the stupidity of Bush, America is helping to drag the world into what looks like another world war.

Israels policies "toward the Arab world" is a gross generalization. They have perfectly stable and cordial relationships with Jordan, Egypt and assorted other "Arab" countries. AND YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK THE CLINTON RECORD ON ARMS SHIPMENTS OF AMERICAN MILITARY EQUIPMENT TO ISRAEL. Give it a rest.

Israel is doing the right thing. They take absolutely no sh** from anyone and stand by it. I believe we shoudl back Israel in every way possible. Their Army and Air force are superb and we need all the allies we can get in that region.
